What our Tallon Customer's Say... / Jason Dixon
Jason Dixon
Customer Background
Jason splits his time between his work as a full time firefighter in Auckland, New Zealand and his home life in the North Island’s lakeland town of Taupo, where he pursues his passion for boating.
Jason Says:
‘I’m a fussy bugger and what I liked was the fact that you can do more than one thing with the receivers; people can move around my boat and put their drinks where they want them and they don’t look cumbersome.’
‘My wife loves the wine glass holders and the boys have somewhere to put their drinks cans!’
According to Jason, installing the Tallon™ system was ‘Ultra simple! I’m definitely no carpenter – the instructions were simple and self-explanatory.’
Tallon™ Marine’s innovative connection system makes it easy for boaties and fishermen to get the best from their lifestyle option.
The flexibility and reliability of Tallon™ systems is essential for the modern boatie.
Because all Tallon™ Receivers have the unique capability to accept many different accessories, bulky and single-use permanent mountings can now be a thing of the past.
With the recent introduction of Tallon™ Powered Receivers, a single receiver can hold everything from cup holders and rod holders to powered accessories such as Chart Table Lamps and Anchor Lights.
Boating Problem
- In choppy conditions, conventional cup holders Jason used in the past won’t stay upright. He spends too much time flipping them up.
- Wine glasses didn’t fit conventional cup holders.
- Jason is a self-confessed perfectionist and wanted a system that didn’t look big and cumbersome but maintained his boat’s clean lines.
- Jason used a chilli bin for storing drinks bottles and containers. He wanted to do away with the bin to win space back in his boat.
- He also wanted a system that was flexible and did more than just hold a drink.
Tallon™ Solution
- Once installed, the Tallon™ System was tested in choppy conditions and required zero maintenance.
- Thanks to its unique design and removable insert, the Tallon™ Multi-Holder accessory holds a wide variety of wine glasses, tumblers, cups, mugs, cans and bottles.
- The Tallon™ system looks good, blending in with his boat’s interior and doesn’t make the boat look cluttered, maintaining his clean lines.
- Tallon™ Wine Glass and Bottle Holders safely stow wine bottles, as well as glasses - so the chilli bin has gone!
- Jason’s Receiver System cannot only be used for drinks holders, but can also be used for different accessories such as rod holders.
What’s Next?
Jason’s Tallon™ System is a talking point with other boaties, keen to find out where he got them. He now has his sights on Powered Receivers for use with a Tallon™ Anchor Light at night and to provide more locations for non-powered accessories during the day.
